What happens on the first visit
We start from the ground, walking around the house and looking at the roofline for lifted tiles, gaps under the eaves, chewed timber, rub marks and droppings. Then we check the roof space from the manhole, and inside it where the joists make that safe.
Once we know which gap is active and which possum it is, you get the price in writing. With your agreement we fit the one way door and seal the other gaps the same day, so the possum has only one way out and none back in.
Before we leave we explain what you might hear over the next few nights and what to do if anything changes.
The return visit and your photo report
After a few quiet nights we come back, take the door off and seal that final opening with mesh, timber or a tile repair to suit the roof. Any nest material near the entry is cleared.
You then get a photo report showing every point we sealed, which is also the record for the guarantee. If a possum gets back in through one of those points, we come back and fix it.

Usually about a week. The first visit takes one to three hours, the door stays on for three to seven nights, and the return visit takes about an hour.
Do I need to be home?
For the first visit it helps, so we can look at the ceiling from inside and talk through the plan. The return visit can often be done with access arranged.
What if I still hear noises after the door is fitted?
Tell us. Noise in the first night or two is normal as the possum adjusts. If it continues, there is usually a second entry and we come back to find it.
Will you go inside my roof space?
Where it is safe to do so. We check from the manhole and walk the roof space only where the ceiling joists allow it.
Do you clean up after the possum?
Nest material near the entry is cleared as part of sealing jobs. A full clean of soaked insulation is our roof sanitation service.
